Get ready for a short but unforgettable escape that blends the magic of ancient Egypt with one of the rarest celestial events on Earth – a total solar eclipse over Luxor.
On Day 1, you’ll arrive in Luxor and be met at the airport for a private transfer to your hotel. After check-in and some free time to relax, the group will gather in the evening for a welcome briefing about the eclipse, safety guidelines, and the detailed plan for the next day.
Day 2 starts with an inspiring visit to Karnak Temple, including the iconic Hypostyle Hall and the Sacred Lake, with time for exploration and photos. Then we cross to the West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings, visiting three royal tombs and (optionally) Tutankhamun’s tomb, with explanations of ancient Egyptian beliefs about the afterlife.
Late morning, we transfer to a specially selected viewing site inside the path of totality, equipped with chairs, bottled water, shaded areas, and certified eclipse glasses for everyone. From around 12:00 to 1:15 PM, you’ll witness the sky darken as the Moon completely covers the Sun — a once-in-a-lifetime moment framed by the timeless landscape of Luxor.
