Welcome to Egypt Travel Ways.

These Terms & Conditions apply to quotations, bookings, tours, transfers, travel arrangements and other services arranged through Egypt Travel Ways.

By confirming a booking or making a payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

01

Our Services

Egypt Travel Ways provides and arranges private and customized travel services in Egypt, including, where applicable:

  • Private tours and excursions
  • Egyptologist-guided sightseeing
  • Airport meet-and-assist services
  • Private transportation
  • Hotels and accommodation
  • Domestic flights and trains
  • Nile cruises and dahabiya cruises
  • Entrance tickets and sightseeing arrangements
  • Airport and visa assistance
  • Other travel services specifically included in the confirmed itinerary

The exact services included in each booking are those stated in the confirmed itinerary, quotation or booking confirmation.

02

Booking and Confirmation

A booking request is considered provisional until it has been reviewed, accepted and confirmed by Egypt Travel Ways or the authorized tourism partner responsible for arranging the relevant services.

Standard Deposit 35%

A 35% deposit of the total booking price is normally required to confirm a booking.

Once the required deposit has been received and the booking has been confirmed, the requested services will be arranged subject to availability.

For certain services, including flights, cruises, special events, peak-season arrangements or other services with strict supplier conditions, different payment or cancellation terms may apply.

Any such conditions will be communicated to the client before confirmation whenever reasonably possible.

03

Payment Policy

The standard payment structure is:

Booking Deposit 35%

Deposit required to confirm the booking.

Remaining Balance 65%

Normally payable upon arrival in Egypt.

The remaining balance may normally be paid in cash in USD or by credit/debit card where the relevant payment facility is available.

For certain bookings, suppliers may require advance full or partial payment. In such cases, the applicable payment conditions will be communicated to the client as part of the quotation or booking arrangements.

A booking may not be considered fully confirmed until the required payment has been received and confirmation has been issued.

04

Prices and Quotations

All prices are based on the services and arrangements stated in the quotation at the time it is issued.

Unless otherwise stated, quotations may include the services specifically listed in the itinerary and may exclude personal expenses, optional activities, tips, drinks, meals, entrance fees or other items clearly identified as excluded.

Prices may change before confirmation if there are changes in supplier rates, availability, taxes, transportation costs, flight prices, hotel rates, cruise rates or other circumstances outside our control.

Once a booking has been confirmed, any changes requested by the client may result in additional charges.

05

Hotels and Accommodation

Hotels are selected according to the category, location, facilities and requirements stated in the confirmed itinerary.

Specific room types, views, adjoining rooms, early check-in, late check-out or other special accommodation requests are subject to availability and cannot always be guaranteed.

If the booked hotel becomes unavailable or cannot provide the confirmed accommodation, Egypt Travel Ways or its authorized partner may arrange accommodation of a similar standard whenever reasonably possible.

Any significant changes will be communicated to the client.

06

Flights and Train Services

Domestic flights and train services are subject to the rules, schedules, availability, baggage allowances and conditions of the relevant airline or railway provider.

Flight and train schedules may change due to operational, technical, weather, security or other circumstances.

Egypt Travel Ways is not responsible for schedule changes, delays, cancellations, baggage restrictions or other decisions made by airlines or railway operators.

Any applicable airline or railway cancellation, amendment, rebooking or baggage charges are subject to the provider's own terms and conditions.

07

Cruises and Dahabiya Services

Nile cruises and dahabiya services are subject to the availability, schedules, sailing conditions and policies of the relevant cruise or boat operator.

Cruise itineraries, sailing times, embarkation points, disembarkation times and facilities may be changed by the operator due to operational, weather, water-level, safety or other circumstances.

Where a cruise or dahabiya is included in a booking, the applicable supplier's terms and conditions may also apply.

08

Entrance Tickets and Attractions

Entrance tickets are arranged according to the confirmed itinerary.

Opening hours, ticket prices, access restrictions, archaeological site regulations and attraction availability may change without prior notice by the relevant authorities.

Some special areas, exhibitions or experiences may require additional tickets and may be subject to limited availability.

09

Special Requests

We are happy to receive special requests such as particular hotel rooms, dietary requirements, mobility considerations, seating preferences, celebrations or other reasonable requests.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate these requests to the relevant suppliers.

However, special requests are subject to availability and are not guaranteed unless specifically confirmed in writing.

10

Changes Requested by the Client

Clients may request changes to a confirmed itinerary.

All changes are subject to availability and may result in additional charges from Egypt Travel Ways or third-party suppliers.

Changes to flights, hotels, cruises, trains, tickets or other prepaid services may be subject to cancellation and amendment conditions of the relevant supplier.

We will advise the client of any additional cost before proceeding with a requested change whenever reasonably possible.

11

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email, WhatsApp or another communication method accepted by Egypt Travel Ways.

Cancellation charges are calculated based on the total booking price and the number of days remaining before the scheduled arrival date.

Cancellation Period Cancellation Charge
From booking date up to 31 days before arrival 15% of total booking price
30–15 days before arrival 35% of total booking price
14–6 days before arrival 50% of total booking price
5–1 days before arrival 100% of total booking price
No-show 100% of total booking price
Important

The applicable cancellation charge is based on the total booking price, not only the amount already paid.

If the applicable cancellation charge is greater than the amount already paid, the outstanding amount may become payable.

Certain services, including airline tickets, cruise bookings, hotels, special events, peak-season services or other arrangements with specific supplier cancellation conditions may be subject to additional or different cancellation charges.

Where such conditions apply, they will be communicated to the client as part of the booking arrangements.

12

Refunds

Where a refund is due following cancellation, the refundable amount will be calculated after applying the applicable cancellation charges and any non-refundable amounts imposed by relevant suppliers.

Refunds will normally be processed using the original payment method where reasonably possible.

Processing times may depend on banks, payment providers, airlines, hotels, cruise operators or other third parties.

Any applicable bank, payment-provider, currency-conversion or transaction charges may be deducted from the refundable amount where applicable.

No refund will normally be provided for unused services, late arrival, early departure or no-show unless otherwise agreed in writing or required by the relevant supplier's terms.

13

Force Majeure and Events Beyond Our Control

Egypt Travel Ways cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Severe weather conditions
  • Natural disasters
  • Wars or armed conflicts
  • Government restrictions
  • Official travel restrictions or travel alerts
  • Strikes or industrial action
  • Flight or transportation disruptions
  • Changes imposed by airlines, hotels, cruise operators or other suppliers
  • Security incidents
  • Public health emergencies
  • Closure of archaeological sites or attractions
  • Other events that could not reasonably have been prevented or anticipated

In such circumstances, we will make reasonable efforts to assist the client and, where possible, offer alternative arrangements or rescheduling options.

Any refunds or credits will depend on amounts recoverable from the relevant suppliers and the circumstances of the booking.

14

Responsibility of Third-Party Suppliers

Some services included in a booking are provided by independent third-party suppliers, including hotels, airlines, transportation companies, cruise operators, railway companies, restaurants, attractions and other service providers.

We carefully select and work with service providers, but we cannot control every aspect of their operations.

Supplier-specific terms and conditions may apply to their services.

Where a supplier changes, cancels, delays or modifies a service, we will make reasonable efforts to assist the client and find an appropriate alternative where possible.

15

Transportation

Transportation arrangements are provided according to the confirmed itinerary.

Vehicle type may vary depending on the number of travelers, luggage, route, availability and operational requirements.

Drivers are responsible for transportation and driving services, while licensed Egyptologist guides are responsible for guiding services where included.

Clients are expected to follow reasonable safety instructions provided by drivers, guides and service providers.

16

Visa and Passport Requirements

Travelers are responsible for ensuring that they hold valid passports, visas, permits and other travel documents required for entry into Egypt and for onward travel.

Egypt Travel Ways may provide general assistance or information regarding visa arrangements where included in the booking, but the final decision regarding entry, visa issuance, immigration and admissibility rests with the relevant Egyptian authorities.

Clients should verify their personal visa and entry requirements before traveling.

17

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travelers obtain appropriate travel insurance before traveling to Egypt.

Travel insurance should, where appropriate, cover medical expenses, trip cancellation, travel interruption, baggage, flight disruption and other risks relevant to the trip.

Clients are responsible for selecting insurance appropriate to their individual circumstances.

18

Health, Mobility and Special Requirements

Clients should inform us before booking about any important mobility requirements, medical restrictions relevant to the planned activities, dietary requirements or other conditions that may affect the services requested.

We will make reasonable efforts to adapt arrangements where possible.

Some archaeological sites, temples, tombs, vehicles, boats or other attractions may involve stairs, uneven surfaces, walking, heat or other physical requirements.

Clients are responsible for determining whether the planned activities are appropriate for their individual circumstances.

19

Personal Belongings

Clients are responsible for their personal belongings, passports, money, electronic devices, luggage and valuables during the trip.

Egypt Travel Ways is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

Clients should take reasonable precautions and use hotel safes or other secure storage where available.

20

Tipping

Tipping is customary in Egypt and is generally considered a personal way of showing appreciation for good service.

Tipping is voluntary unless a specific gratuity has been expressly included in the confirmed booking.

21

Complaints

If a client experiences a problem during the trip, we ask that the issue be reported to us as soon as possible.

Many issues can be resolved quickly while the client is still in Egypt.

Clients should give Egypt Travel Ways and/or the relevant service provider a reasonable opportunity to investigate and correct the problem during the trip.

If the matter remains unresolved after the trip, the client may submit a written complaint using our contact details.

22

Photos and Reviews

We may invite clients to voluntarily provide photographs, testimonials or reviews of their experience.

We will not use a client's identifiable photograph or testimonial for promotional purposes without appropriate permission.

23

Website Information

We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on our website accurate and up to date.

However, descriptions, prices, schedules, availability, operating hours and other information may change.

Website information does not replace the specific details contained in the client's confirmed quotation or booking confirmation.

24

Website and Payment Security

Where online payments are available, payment information may be processed through secure third-party payment providers.

Security Reminder

Clients should not send complete card numbers, security codes, passwords or other sensitive payment credentials through email or WhatsApp.

25

Privacy

Personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

By making an inquiry or booking, the client acknowledges that personal information may need to be shared with relevant suppliers and authorized partners for the purpose of arranging the requested travel services.

26

Children

Children must travel with a parent, legal guardian or responsible accompanying adult unless otherwise agreed.

Child pricing, accommodation arrangements, tickets and other conditions vary depending on the itinerary and service providers and will be stated in the applicable quotation where relevant.

27

Group Bookings and Special Events

Group bookings, large groups, special events, peak-season travel and unique or customized itineraries may be subject to different payment, cancellation, amendment or supplier conditions.

Any special conditions applicable to such bookings will be communicated to the client before confirmation whenever reasonably possible.

28

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

29

Changes to These Terms & Conditions

Egypt Travel Ways may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, suppliers, business practices or applicable requirements.

The version published on our website at the time of booking will generally apply to that booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.

30

Acceptance of the Agreement

The confirmed quotation, itinerary, booking confirmation, payment arrangements and these Terms & Conditions together form the basis of the agreement between the client and Egypt Travel Ways for the services being arranged.

By paying the required deposit or otherwise confirming the booking, the client confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
